Description

Carp Fishing Float Bobber is a great method for ponds and very small areas of water. One of the most exciting methods of catching carp for a youngster is to use a small float (Bobber) as the indicator. When they are used, a pencil bobber is the best choice. Avoid using large round bobbers since carp tend to drop bait at the slightest resistance.

A thin bodied float such as a Waggler, Stick Float, carp antenna or even a good-sized quill (if you can find one). These types of floats offer much more stability and sensitive bite detection than conventional ‘bobber’ floats. Finding carp isn’t difficult, although carp can be very shy or hesitant feeders. If a carp detects even a slight amount of movement through your fishing line, you may lose your opportunity to catch one.

Usage:

The beginner carp rig consists of a hook complete with a boilie, which in this case, is attached using the knotless knot. This, as the name suggests does not actually require a knot to tie. The best time to fish for carp is usually early in the morning and late in the evening. Translated to when water is cooler with or without a Carp Fishing Float Bobber. Carp tends to be less active during the hottest part of the day. Like most fish they will often retreat to deeper, cooler water.

Carp actively breaks the surface of the water for two reasons. Both reasons are due to water quality/lack of oxygen. If the ph factor is too acidic or the dissolved oxygen count is too low carp come up to seek more comfortable conditions. Carp normally stays and feed and roam on the bottom. In March and April, the carp spend large chunks of the day lazily sunning themselves. During this time the fish doing this are very hard to catch. Look for active feeders rather than fish sitting still or slowly cruising just under the surface. Carp will eat an artificial lure more readily.
