3″ Stainless Steel Tea Ball Infuser W/Chain

Tea infuser is a small utensil for steeping tea. It comes in many shapes, colors, sizes, and materials. The most common tea infusers are tea ball infusers and spoon infusers. Once you fill your infuser with tea leaves, you will place it into a cup with hot water. All tea infusers have small holes that prevent tea leaves from getting into your cup, which makes brewing tea very easy. They are great for steeping almost any loose tea leaves. However, tea infusers are not suitable for tea powders, or tea dust and fannings from tea bags.

This 3″ stainless steel tea ball infuser w/chain is the perfect way to infuse fresh, aromatic flavors into each cup of tea! Perfect for use in your tearoom, coffee shop, restaurant, bakery, or café, this tea ball infuser adds a classic and stylish touch to your table presentation. Since you can control what goes in the tea ball infuser, you can make your own tea mixes and brew it to any desired strength!

Usage:

Using a tea infuser allows you to easily steep a single cup of tea, or an entire teapot. The best tea infuser allows you to control the infusion time to prevent the over-extraction of tannins, which results in a bitter cup. This tea ball infuser is made of stainless steel for long-lasting, frequent use, and features a 3″ diameter for easy filling with herbs and loose-leaf teas. This infuser also works well with teapots, and it includes a stainless-steel chain for gentle, splash-free placement and easy removal. At the end of the chain, a clip hooks onto a cup’s handle for convenience.

Although you could add a tea bag to an infuser, this isn’t usually advisable. The leaves in a tea bag are typically much smaller than loose leaf tea, which means they are likely to escape through the mesh or holes of the infuser, into the liquid. Steeping time is very important when making a perfect cup of tea. Let the tea steep for 1-5 minutes, depending on the type. Steep green tea for 1-3 minutes, herbal teas for 3-5 minutes, black teas for 2-5 minutes and oolong teas for 1-5 minutes.

If you don’t like your tea to be too strong, try removing the infuser after a minute or two and taste the tea. If it’s too weak, continue steeping for another minute or two. The steeping process usually takes 3-5 minutes, but it depends on the tea. However, when you over steep tea beyond this time more tannins are released into your cup, so the color turns darker and the flavor becomes bitter from the extra tannins, especially when steeping black tea.
