This package is for a 5pcs Metal VIB Spinner set you can use by itself or with bait. The two most popular types of spinnerbaits are the in-line spinner and safety pin spinnerbait, though others such as the tail spinner also exist. Spinnerbaits are used principally for catching freshwater fishes such as perch, pike and bass. We have found a new home for them in saltwater.
It really is simple. Spinners use flash and vibration to attract fish. This flash and vibration comes from their revolving blade. No other fishing lure has this unique feature. Spinner baits are especially well-suited to cold water. They also work well in warm, murky water. A little red somewhere on the spinnerbait usually is an asset. Usage:
When throwing a spinnerbait, the choice is simple; in almost all circumstances, I use a monofilament line. I prefer a tough line like Trilene XT. While monofilament is my choice for 90% of my spinnerbait fishing, there is one exception: fishing in heavy aquatic vegetation. In these cases braided line is preferred for strength and durability. These baits have been used in Kelp forests off the left coast where ambush predators are waiting for an unsuspecting meal.
You never know when conditions will change so having different colors prepares you for MOST situations. In my experience, you’ll catch more and bigger fish with natural colors in the skirt and head, and metallic or painted blades. It’s a matter of personal choice but I do not use swivels. Swivels allow for quick changes but I find they affect action of the bait. An additional twist would be to use strips of bait when the bite slows. You can’t go wrong with this 5pcs Metal VIB Spinner set.
