Sabikis Soft Fishing Lure are rated amongst the top rigs for catching bait. This rig comes with six hooks and size 12 hooks. You can use this rig with or without cut pieces of bait. If using bait, we recommend shrimp. Pinch off a small piece of meat, no shell, and thread onto each hook. If you opt not to use shrimp, make sure your rig includes hooks with a feather attached as this is what attracts the baitfish.
This rig is usually used when catching baitfish, though an angler can also attach a bait cage to the rig. You can catch fish like large snapper, mulloway, flathead, etc. With a bait cage on the rig, users should give a large jerk to release the bait. In Japan, they are used to catch sardines and mackerel off large piers.

Usage:
Weight the rig with an ounce or two of weight, being sure to use enough to easily reach and hold bottom. Position your boat over oyster bar, a shoal, or other fish-attracting feature. Drop the rig to bottom, and give short, gentle six-inch jigs with the rod tip every few seconds. You may not ever be able to prove it in a court of law, but there is overwhelming evidence indicating that the Sabiki rig has caught more fish than any other artificial bait on the planet.
