When you’re ready to grill the fish, place the skin-side down first directly over the hottest part of the grate. Let it cook in peace. Grilling fish can be tough since it’s much more delicate than chicken or steak. It can fall apart as it cooks or gets stuck to the grate. The uneven heat of a grill can also make parts of it tough and dry while other parts are just barely cooked. Grilling fish in foil is the best solution. Foil is unnecessary when this basket.

Cleaning is easy to do. After grilling, allow the basket to cool before washing it with warm, soapy water, just like any other dish. Because of the mesh construction, there are no crevices where food residues could conceal themselves. Hand wash with mild dish washing soap. Rinse and dry immediately. Do not use metallic scrubbers or put in dishwashers. For longevity, apply a small amount of mineral oil or other food-safe oil to wood components.
