Shrimp Vein Remover

$3.95

When preparing shrimp and lobster, this Shrimp Vein Remover is one tool you can’t be without. This is a 1pc Stainless Steel Shrimp Deveiner Tool – Seafood Shell Cutter Remover. It makes cleaning shrimp a snap and does what it is supposed to do. It works a lot easier and safer than using a sharp knife.

Cleaning large volumes of shrimp can take a long time and rusks cutting yourself when you get tired. Using this tool allows you to cut and slice through the shell and remove those unsightly veins. This makes cleaning something other than a drudge task. If the vein is visible through the shell and meat, and if you find the digestive tract unappealing, then it makes sense to remove it. Knowing what it is, many people prefer to remove the vein. Removing the vein after cooking the shrimp using this tool is possible but the recommendation is to remove it first.

If you choose to leave the digestive tract in place, or can’t completely devein it, there’s no need to worry. There’s no food safety reason to remove it as cooking “sanitizes the meat. If you choose to not devein the shrimp, just rinse all your shrimp to remove any left over debris. You then pat the shrimp dry them with a paper towel, and they’re ready to cook. Technically, when shrimp are cooked, neither shrimp vein needs to be removed. If you are not planning on eating a plateful of shrimp ceviche, though, you could safely leave the back vein in. Now that I’ve said that, back to regularly scheduled viewing.
