This bait comes in many different shapes and sizes but the most prominent is the minnow type. The best way to fish with this bait is using the walk the dog fishing technique. By twitching your rod tip you will create a zigzag retrieval pattern on the water&#8217;s surface that is irresistible to gamefish like snook, tarpon, redfish and speckled trout.<\/p>\n<p>While mostly used in freshwater fishing, we have been using the Topwater Wobbling Pumper Thumper(MP) in saltwater. Ambush predators in the surf hear commotion and see what looks like a struggling fish. They then attack what they think is their next meal and the battle begins. On the left coast, these baits are awesome when worked over the top of Kelp forests.
