Description:<\/h4>\n

While granulated garlic is coarsely ground to a sand consistency, garlic powder is finely ground to a flour consistency. Due to the size difference, garlic powder is more potent in flavor than granulated garlic. This because more of the surface area of the garlic is exposed to oxygen, releasing more of the sulfur compound.<\/p>\n

Usage:<\/h4>\n

This garlic has more air by volume due to its larger size, while garlic powder is denser. Double the number of\u00a0 garlic grains \u2013 for instance, two teaspoons granulated garlic for every one teaspoon garlic powder. If you prefer fresh garlic but only have spices, one fresh clove of garlic can be considered equivalent to \u00bc teaspoon of garlic powder, or \u00bd teaspoon of granulated garlic. If you’re trying to mimic fresh garlic, using hydrated granulated garlic will be the best replacement.<\/p>\n

Granulated Garlic contains significant amounts of vitamin B6, vitamin C, selenium, and manganese. Garlic is also a good source of minerals, including calcium, copper, potassium, phosphorus, and iron. Garlic is known to be anti-microbial, and it is believed to help boost the immune system. Granulated garlic is often used as a seasoning for sauces and dry rubs because of how well it distributes the garlic flavor in a dish without adding moisture.<\/p>\n
