After handling raw meat, you can wash the fork with hot water and dish soup or use a dishwasher. This fork has a Rosewood handle so you should NOT clean it in a dishwasher. It is recommended this be hand washed and dried due to the Rosewood handle. The best way to sanitize the spatula and other utensils that handle the raw meat is to use a dishwasher. Most dishwashers have a \u201csanitize\u201d option that uses the highest temperature.<\/p>\n

Rosewood is a durable hardwood if it is dried adequately. It is one of the hardest woods, with a hardness equivalent to teak. In general, timber from the Dalbergia (rosewood) genus has high resistance against heat transfer, rot, and termite attack.
